Jared Crider
Jared Crider is a Multi-instrumentalist, composer and educator based out of Denver, Colorado. Despite his love for sandwiches, he has never worked at subway. Jared is originally from Spokane, Washington and began playing music professionally at the age of 16. He attended the University of Idaho where he studied trumpet performance and the University of Northern Colorado where he studied jazz.
Jared has shared the stage with former members of Earth Wind And Fire, nea Jazz Masters, and grammy winning artists both domestically and abroad. He is currently the leader and bassist for Dr Lunch, Plays Trumpet in Titonic, No Hands Brass Band and his own jazz projects while being a busy freelance musician in the Front Range. His cat’s name is Bootsie Pawlins, named afer the great Bootsy Collins.
Ian Spillman
Ian Spillman is a drummer and producer from Denver, Colorado. Ian began drumming when he was 4 years old and has not improved since then. While attending the University of Northern Colorado, he had the opportunity to perform with artists such as Carmen Bradford, Melissa Aldana, Wayne Bergeron, and the Compass Jazz Orchestra. Outside of school, he has also performed with the Colorado Symphony Orchestra. Ian is in several bands including Titonic, the Metropolitan Jazz Orchestra, No Hands Brass Band, Groove N Motion, and the Allison Young Quartet. In addition to drumming, Ian enjoys producing beats, having released his first beat tape in 2021. He spends most of his other time playing Mario Kart Wii.
Ted Davies
Ted is a multi-instrumentalist and audio engineer based out of Denver, Colorado. Ted graduated from the University of Northern Colorado in May 2023, with a degree in Jazz Saxophone Performance. While at UNC, Ted performed in the award-winning Compass Jazz Orchestra (formerly Lab 1), sharing the stage with the likes of Carmen Bradford, Wayne Bergeron, Rachel Price, and more. Ted wrote two arrangements for the album “Carmen sings Carmen”, recorded with Carmen Bradford and the Compass Jazz Orchestra in February 2023. Ted also won the 2023 Downbeat Award for Large Jazz Ensemble Composition for their composition “The Shadows’ Dance” off their debut album Trail Rider released in November 2022.
Upon moving to Denver post-graduation, Ted founded Teddy Westside Productions LLC, a recording and music production studio for artists of all genres looking for a space to experiment with their music and make lasting musical connections. Ted has recorded and mixed artists including May Be Fern, Goodnight Freeman, the Allison Young Quartet, Stoney Brook, The Playwr!tes, and others. You can find Ted running sound at different venues across the Denver Metro area and playing with different bands including Dr Lunch, The Spillionaires, and more. When they’re not making music, Ted loves to hang out with their fiance Ella and their cat Madelie, going hiking and camping in the mountains, and grilling burgers in the backyard.
